Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine!
What is your assurance?
I am writing this blog in thankfulness to my Savior for my abundant life according to John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” I am writing in the awe of how powerful He is and how I am so grateful for Luke 10:19 that He has given me “authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.” Those verses give us assurance. They give us freedom. They are the truth and the “truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). We do not have to accept anything less than a long abundant life for ourselves and our family because Jesus has paid the price and has given us the authority so that if we “say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, it will be done’” (Matthew 21:21). Look at what He tells us in the next verse: “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Yes! He is telling us that we do not have to live a life of uncertainty, we can be assured and have abundant life if we just believe in the Scriptures and know that He has paid the price. Victory is His and our abundant life is living proof of that victory! He gave us the Scriptures to claim and believe in so that we can live a long abundant life in His name. He gave us the healing Scriptures so that we can believe in His healing power and receive healing. He wants us all to be healthy, that is why when He lived on earth He “laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.” He gave us the authority because He wants us to use it to bring glory to His name. Our abundant life shining for Jesus brings glory to Him. He is revealed to others through our abundant life in His name.
Our right as a child of God is to be healthy, according to Isaiah 53:5 we are healed by His stripes, and we are given the authority to cast out in Jesus’ name anything that is not in line with divine health. Luke 9:1 says He gives us “power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.” He has done everything for our blessed lives. What do you believe? I entitled my book “Believe in the Blood” because that is what I believe in. I believe that Christ’s blood has been spilt for my salvation, health, happiness, and abundant long life. I do not accept anything less. He wants me to “prosper in all things and be in health” and that is what I claim for my life in Jesus’ name.
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! That is from an old hymn and talks about assurance. What assures me of salvation? What assures me that I am healthy? What assures me of no worries? What assures me of financial blessings? What assures me abundant life? What assures me long life? The answers to all of these questions are the Bible. The Scriptures assure us of all of this. The Scriptures are God’s words to us and so God assures us of all of these things if we just believe. Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20 that “if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” He only wants us to believe, that is the only thing we need to do to receive everything we ask for. How do I know this? Because Jesus tells me so in Mark 11:24 when He says, “whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
Want assurance of salvation? BELIEVE in Him. It is given to you in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Want assurance of health? BELIEVE that He has taken your sickness. Claim Matthew 8:17: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”
Want assurance of no worries? BELIEVE He took them for you. Claim Isaiah 53:5: “The chastisement for our peace was upon Him.”
Want assurance of financial blessings? BELIEVE He wants that for you. Claim Malachi 3:10: “Bring all the tithes into the storehouses… And try Me now in this… If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”
Want abundant life? BELIEVE that is why He came. Claim John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Want long life? BELIEVE it is promised to you. Claim Psalm 91:15-16: “I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
He wants us to live. He wants us to live abundant lives. That is why He came. That is what the Bible says in John 10:10. Jesus healed me and gave me abundant life. Believe in the Scriptures. The Scriptures saved my life. God’s words saved my life. He sent the Scriptures to give us to believe in so that we could be healed: “He sent His Word and healed them” (Psalm 107:20). Jesus healed me 2000 years ago. I was healed by the stripes He bore. Thank You, Jesus, for healing me. I cannot even comprehend the full extent of what He did for me. He reached down from heaven and saved my life from the enemy. I claim Isaiah 53:5 for my life and cast anything out in Jesus’ name that does not line up with divine health. He has touched me and I am healed forever because of Him, the Bible says so: “And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?” (Isaiah 43:13).
The reason I can have assurance of abundant life is because Jesus Himself gave it to me when He said, “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” and “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall be any means hurt you.” Blessed Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Praise Jesus! He is my everything and the reason I have life and have it more abundantly. I will spend the rest of my life trying to tell others what He did for me to bring Him glory. Abundant life is yours for the taking. Believe in His Blood and the Scriptures that He gave us to believe in! Before I learned about divine healing and that Jesus wants us all to be healthy, I did not know how to be assured of abundant life. I just want to tell others so that they can come to find out what I found out and rest in Jesus. Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine!
